Use this template form to keep track of an employee's payment of statutory sick pay (SSP) in order to determine their outstanding SSP entitlement.
This letter should be used to notify your employee that they are not entitled to receive sick pay for their absence, or you have reason to withhold payment of sick pay. This letter should only be used when the form SSP1 is not appropriate or does not apply.
This letter can be used to inform employees that their statutory sick pay entitlement will end. It should be used when the 28 week entitlement to SSP has been exhausted. A copy of the current SSP1 form should be attached with this letter.
