This checklist should be used to assess whether an employee is eligible to make a request for flexible working. Please note this eligibility does not mean the employee has the right to work flexibly, only the right to submit a request to their employer for flexible working. The employer must follow a reasonable procedure to consider the request, and have a valid business reason for rejecting one.
