Right to request flexible / hybrid working eligibility
Flexible working is a catch-all term for any way of working other than what was originally contracted, and can include requests to work from home, or to move to hybrid working.
This checklist should be used to assess whether an employee is eligible to make a request for flexible / hybrid working. Please note this eligibility does not mean the employee has the right to work flexibly, only the right to submit a request to their employer for flexible working. The employer must follow a reasonable procedure to consider the request, and have a valid business reason for rejecting one.
