The maternity leave policy includes information on time off for ante-natal care, length of leave, maternity pay, keeping in touch and returning to work. It also includes an entirely optional clause on extending maternity leave in the event that a premature birth requires the baby to spend a period of time in hospital.
Note - this policy has been updated to reflect the introduction of parental bereavement leave on 6 April 2020.
